First Post!

Welcome to my blog! As all of you know, I'm turning 30 this year. I, unlike most people, am not dreading this birthday. I've never been one to be depressed about age.

For my 25th birthday, I decided to do 25 new and exciting things in New York City. Each experience was something I had never done before, and they were uniquely New York. Since I'm on the other side of the country now, I thought it would be fun to do 30 things in Southern California. This blog will document those events, and any other thoughts I have on facing the big 3-0. Anyone on this coast is welcome to join me on some of my adventures - just let me know if you want in on anything.

I will also be posting any thoughts or situations that arise having to do with this transition into my 30s. Who
knows what they'll be, but I'm ready for them!

Eight months from today, I will greet 30 with open arms and big, fat party. I invite you all to take the ride with me. Hopefully then it won't be so scary when you face the same number.
