Two years ago today I arrived in California. I miss New York City like crazy, but I know that at this point in my life I am supposed to be here.
In the past two years, I have done a lot of things I never thought I'd have the opportunity to do.
I finally have the convertible I've dreamed of since I was 15 years old.
I got to work on the Warner Brothers lot (more than once). Even though I've only done background work so far, it's been an amazing experience getting to play around on these backlots.
I became a huge fan of hockey (Go Ducks!) and I've also gotten really close to some fabulous people! These are my West Coast version of the Sex and the City friends.
And I live down the street from the ocean. When I look out my bedroom window, I see palm trees :-)
Even though money is sometimes tight, and I miss so much about NYC ... I am so happy with my life. Now that I'm finally devoting the time to pursue my dreams, instead of working in a job that I hate, I find that my life is so much more fulfilling. As I approach the big 3-0, I have peace of mind, and joy in spirit. And that is a pretty good place to be.

It looks like you are really enjoying the West Coast life! Congrats on the many successes.
And let me tell you, 30 isn't nearly as bad as I anticipated!!
